Mothers Run

A half marathon group training program – specifically for moms. This Spring’s program will be geared towards the Napa Spring Half Marathon (formerly the Napa Women’s Half Marathon) on April 28th… or a half marathon 1 week before or after.

This program is for you if…

  • You’re a mom (at any age and stage) and feel you’d benefit from the support and camaraderie of other moms

  • You’re at least 3 months postpartum

  • You can run at least 3-4 miles comfortably

  • You’re excited and ready for the prospect of tackling a half marathon this Spring – and ready to work hard with a coach and group’s support!

  • You’re able to commit to a full 12 weeks of working together
What you get…

  • 12 weeks of smart, customized run training designed to help you run your smartest and strongest half marathon. We’ll have a no-speedwork option for women looking to simply finish a half marathon feeling strong – and a speedwork option for women looking to chase their fastest half marathon. Moms of all abilities are welcome to apply.

  • Strength programming via my Runner’s Strength Lab (normally $50/month) geared towards your needs as a runner – along with an extra core + stability circuit designed specifically for moms and the areas (core + hips) many of us are deficient in after having kids

  • A concrete roadmap to improve and get faster – from a kick-off 1:1 goal setting call, to initial fitness testing, to mid-point testing, feedback on your progress along the way, and finally, a 1:1 pre-race call

  • Bi-weekly live group calls with expert guest speakers: a pelvic floor PT, mental health therapist, and sports RD who specializes in the needs of active moms
  • A private community space to connect with other members – and weekly prompts to keep conversation flowing

  • A 1:1 intake call and 1:1 pre-race call with Coach Montana
  • A team meet-up and dinner in Napa, as well as race day coaching from Coach Montana

Program timeline:

  • Applications closed on Friday, January 12th.

  • Accepted members will be notified Friday, January 19th.

    • The program kicks off Monday, February 5th and runs through race day on April 28th.

    The Road to Boston

    A 20-week cohort for runners on the cusp of BQing. We’ll leave no stone unturned as we work together towards your qualifying time. The Road to Boston will return in Fall 2024, and applications will open in late Spring 2024.

    This program is for you if…

    • You are a marathoner within 5 minutes of your Boston qualifying time – or whose training or other PRs indicate your should be within 5 minutes of their BQ time

    • You have serious running goals, but also thrive off community, camaraderie, and being surrounded by others at a similar place in their running journey

    • You’re excited about the prospect of pouring yourself into a focused, dedicated marathon block this Fall, and are ready to give this goal your all!

    • You’re coachable and willing to hand your training over to someone else

    • You’re able to commit to a full 20 weeks of working together

    What you get…

    • High-quality training designed to take your running to the next level. Group members can expect to be running 5-6 days per week, though I will work with you to customize your build-up if you’re accustomed to running less or more.

    • Strength training programming included (normally $50/month)

    • A concrete roadmap to improve and get faster – from a kick-off 1:1 goal setting call, to initial fitness testing, to mid-point testing, feedback on your progress along the way, and finally, a 1:1 pre-race call

    • Bi-weekly live team calls where we’ll cover everything from mental strategies of the marathon, to nutrition and hydration for training and racing, to optimal race day pacing, and more

    • Access to a private online community for team members to ask questions, get feedback and support, share weekly training wins, and connect with others on their BQ journey
